The Amerex Z-Series is a heavy-duty dry chemical line built for corrosive and extreme-temperature environments where standard extinguishers fail — marine, coastal, and sub-zero industrial settings. A proprietary zinc-enriched coating resists corrosion for up to 12 years in salt-contaminated environments, far outlasting standard powder-coat finishes. Operating pressure: 240 PSIG. Chrome-plated brass valve with gauge guard, wide grip sized for gloved hands, and protective rubber foot rings. Available in portable models and 125 lb / 250 lb wheeled versions; ABC (FORAY) or Purple K agent.
Two discharge configurations:
- Fast Flow — 40–50 ft range; higher flow rate and faster agent delivery for quicker knockdown and greater operator standoff distance
- Compliance Flow — 15–21 ft range; highest UL ratings for standard industrial compliance
USCG-approved option available with hot-dip galvanized brackets.
Also available in this line: High-Flow models for applications requiring discharge rates exceeding 1 lb/sec as specified in NFPA 10, Section 5.5. Available in 10 lb and 20 lb, ABC or Purple K. Warranty: 6 years.
